A week in rural Hainan, China. Children join classes at a local school in the mornings. Afternoons are for crafts, local culture, farm life and a young entrepreneurs challenge.

What children do
- Classes alongside local students at Dongying school
- Crafts: chopsticks, tie-dye, fan painting and embroidery
- Puppet theatre, rural cooking and village cycling
- Beachcombing, a bonfire night and a book donation to the school
Day by day
- Sat 12 Dec Meet at Changi Airport T4 at 9am. Direct flight to Haikou Meilan airport (Hainan Airlines HU748, 12:05pm to 3:45pm), then travel to Gengdu Study House. Check in, welcome dinner, free time, lights out at 9pm.
- Sun 13 Dec Opening ceremony, ice-breakers and a guided tour. Afternoon: make your first pair of chopsticks, then tie-dye and lacquer fan painting. Outdoor movie night.
- Mon 14 Dec Morning: regular classes with Dongying primary, secondary and preschool classes. Afternoon: Lingao puppet theatre and Lingao Li Li Mei folk arts. Evening: "Little Market Boss" young entrepreneurs classroom.
- Tue 15 Dec Morning: classes with Dongying school. Afternoon: traditional rural cooking (Yi rice cake, chive pancakes), cutting bamboo for bamboo rice, clay-oven dishes. Evening: traditional embroidery workshop.
- Wed 16 Dec Morning: classes with Dongying school. Afternoon: donating books and supplies to the school, then cycling in the village. Evening: Fuluo Tianjie shopping centre, parent and child time, dinner at your own expense.
- Thu 17 Dec Morning: beachcombing for shells, or net fishing and a shell craft workshop. Afternoon: "Little Market Boss" entrepreneur experience. BBQ dinner and a bonfire party.
- Fri 18 Dec Confucius master and apprentice ceremony, an outdoor tactical game, then travel to Haikou for Qilou Old Street (dinner at your own expense). Night flight home, Hainan Airlines HU447 at 11:45pm, landing in Singapore at 3:10am the next morning.
Included: insurance, accommodation, meals (two dinners are at your own expense), activities, transfers, drone photography. Not included: air ticket, shopping.

- The order of activities may change with the weather; a rain plan is ready. Backup activities include bamboo boat weaving, woodblock printing, tree climbing, rice planting and water rockets.
